Careening Through China

It was 15 days of hurry, rush, and being generally overwhelmed with the amount of information thrust upon us. Temples flew by at lightning speed. Only an hour at extraordinary landmarks. Even during the Three Gorges cruise, when it was consistently raining, there were endless lectures on Chinese history, culture, and the future of the country. The continuous movement of travel on buses, trains, and planes left me feeling drained and like I hadn’t really experienced China, unlike the first day when I was by myself.

There was no time for me, as a photographer, to settle in to capture a decent image. These are the best of the mediocre.

Once home, I started researching my next overseas trip. I didn’t want my hand held that much, preferring more independence. But no matter how much I reduced costs, it was no match for packaged tours. I gave up the battle and booked another tour for the following year…

Where am I now? You can find me on Blue Sky.
